Refer-a-Friend Program Terms of Service

Must be:

• Current member of EFCU in good standing
• A U.S. Citizen or Resident Alien
• 18 years or older

Cannot be:

• An Everence employee
• A member with obligations to EFCU that are outstanding, past due, or otherwise delinquent

Must be:

• A U.S. Citizen or Resident Alien
• 18 years or older
• Eligible for EFCU membership
• Meet ID requirements (see EFCU’s USADA notice)

Cannot be:

• An Everence employee
• Part of your immediate household (which excludes your spouse and children)
• Current member of EFCU
• Past member of EFCU

If requirements are met, new members receive a $25 Welcome Bonus on the fifth statement from account opening. Those who refer receive a $25 Referral Reward at the same time the new member receives their bonus. The funds will be deposited into the primary share account of the referrer and new member.

 

 Offer cannot be “stacked,” meaning only one Referral Reward and one Welcome Bonus per new member. You will not receive multiple Referral Rewards for the same friend taking advantage of multiple promotions, nor will your friend receive multiple Welcome Bonuses for taking advantage of multiple promotions.

 

Welcome Bonuses cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions offered by EFCU.

You can receive a Referral Reward for no more than five new members from July 1, 2024, to September 30, 2024.

In the event that the credit union decides to extend the Referral Program, no person will be entitled to receive more than $500 in cumulative Referral Rewards or Welcome Bonuses within a calendar year. Referral Rewards and Welcome Bonuses may be subject to reporting to the IRS (Internal Revenue Service).

Each person referred should be someone you have a direct, personal relationship with. You may not distribute referral flyers or otherwise solicit anyone through mass mail, email, any form of commercial advertising or other similar means.

You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations in soliciting referrals. EFCU reserves the right to review, investigate, and disqualify anyone from participation in the EFCU Referral Program at any time, and reserves the right to not honor any referral which in our sole discretion was solicited in a manner inconsistent with the spirit or terms and conditions of the EFCU Referral Program.

Furthermore, EFCU reserves the right to seek reimbursement from any member of amounts paid as Referral Rewards to members solicited via mass solicitation. Please note that in certain circumstances the deduction of such amounts from their account may result in a negative balance. Reimbursement may also be sought for any new membership closed within six months of opening or loans refinanced elsewhere within one year of loan opening.

To protect the privacy of those you refer, referral prospect account information or eligibility is not, under any circumstances, permitted to be shared with you.

If you participate, you agree not to compensate or accept compensation from applicants you refer to EFCU through the Referral Program. You further agree that your activities will be limited to referring potential members as described above, so they may independently decide whether to apply. You may not collect information from eligible recipients under any Referral Program, assist with filling out an application, or discuss specific product terms.
