Results of 2023 Everence member satisfaction survey released

GOSHEN, Indiana – Everence Financial® member satisfaction remains at an all-time high, according to a recent survey of clients.

The 2023 Everence Member Satisfaction Survey revealed a 94% overall satisfaction rate, surpassing national financial services, health insurance and credit union industry benchmarks as defined by the American Customer Satisfaction Index. The overall satisfaction rate also is consistent with results from the previous Everence Member Satisfaction Survey, conducted in 2018.

The study also found that more than three out of four (78%) of members and clients have recommended Everence to friends and family members – also consistent with results from 2018.

A key influence for the exceedingly high rates of satisfaction and referrals lies in how Everence and its employees walk alongside clients and members on their stewardship journeys, with 83% of members strongly affirming the Everence mission to help people, institutions and churches integrate faith and values into their financial decisions. And most members surveyed cited this commitment to faith and finances – along with trustworthiness and customer service – as primary factors in their decision to work with Everence.

“Our members and clients want to be part of something bigger than themselves, in addition to being responsible stewards of their financial resources,” said Madalyn Metzger, Everence Chief Marketing Officer. “We are grateful and honored to be such a trusted partner on their financial stewardship journeys, and to be part of our shared efforts to cultivate and enrich the lives we share.”

When asked about upcoming financial concerns, Everence members cited apprehensions related to making their money last through retirement and providing for health care needs as the biggest concerns.

However, 68% of respondents reported having no financial debt – a 13-point improvement since 2015, and another indicator of how Everence members are successfully addressing current financial concerns and preparing for future needs and goals.

As part of the organization’s commitment to enhancing customer experience, Everence surveys its members and clients every three to five years to measure satisfaction. The 2023 survey was conducted by Bellomy Market Intelligence, an American Marketing Association Top 50 Research and Data Analytics company based out of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. A total of 1,077 current Everence clients across the United States completed the online survey between Feb. 27 and March 13, 2023.
