What is your background? (Schools, hometown, major, hobbies, etc.)
I am a senior student majoring in business analytics and information management at Purdue University. I grew up in Taipei, Taiwan and came to the U.S. when I was 15. I enjoy listening to podcasts, learning about different cultures, and traveling.
What is your role and where are you located?
I am a Business Analytics Intern at the Goshen office on N. Main Street.
What is something you have learned in your internship?
During this internship, I have learned how to analyze customer behavior data using customer relationship management (CRM) and structured query language (SQL). I have also gained valuable insights in creating interactive dashboards for business stakeholders.
What has been your favorite project/task?
My favorite project so far has been collaborating with the marketing department in developing a dynamic Business Intelligence (BI) report to evaluate the company’s email marketing effort. It was challenging but rewarding to see how data-driven decisions impact business outcomes and be personally involved in every step of the process, like tuning the data models and customizing the dashboard features.

What is something you like to do on the weekends?
On weekends, I like to explore local thrift stores and try new coffee shops. My favorites are Embassy Coffee and The Electric Brew in downtown Goshen.
What is your favorite local restaurant?
My go-to local restaurant is Los Primos Mexican Grill. They have some great and budget-friendly options if you’re big on Mexican food.
What advice do you have for future interns at Everence?
To future interns at Everence, my advice is to actively network with colleagues across departments. Everence fosters a collaborative environment, and everyone is super approachable. Take advantage of available resources and invest time in developing your financial literacy for personal and professional growth.
