What is your role and where are you located?
I am an IT User Support Intern in Goshen, Indiana.
What is something you have learned in your internship?
I’ve learned how to troubleshoot a large variety of issues in the world of technology, and the patience and persistence it takes to get through some of the longer and more difficult problems and solve them.
What has been your favorite project/task?
My favorite tasks have been discovering the solutions to problems that occur to many people around the office, such as service outages, and to be able to help them out so they can return to work quickly. It makes people happy when their issues are solved fast, and that makes me happy.
How did you find Everence?
Everence is already close to where I live, and I saw on their website they had an opening for IT user support. I jumped on that opportunity as I needed somewhere to work over the summer.
What is something you like to do on the weekends?
Being able to sleep in is great on the weekends, but once I’m awake I like to be outdoors, usually either swimming, hiking, or biking. Some of my favorite places to do that are Silver Beach, Pumpinvine Nature Trail, and Pokagon State Park.
What is your favorite local restaurant?
My favorite local restaurant is BRU Burger Bar in South Bend.
What advice do you have for future interns at Everence?
There’s never a slow moment on the job if you don’t let there be one. Your higher ups always have something that you can do for them if you’re ever bored or feel you have nothing to do. All you have to do is ask them.
