What is your background? (Schools, hometown, major, hobbies, etc.)
I’m from Mohnton, Pennsylvania, a small town about 15 minutes south of Reading. I am currently going to school at Penn State Berks and studying Financial Services.
What is your role and where are you located?
I am the Credit Union Support Intern with the National Branch, located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
What is something you have learned in your internship?
I have learned that it’s okay to make mistakes. Letting go of the pressure to get everything right the first time makes the experience much less stressful and more enjoyable.
What has been your favorite project/task?
My favorite task has been processing travel alerts on members’ cards. It’s really fun to see the cool places they are going to!
How did you find Everence?
I found Everence through Youth Savings Week when I was in high school.
What is something you like to do on the weekends?
I enjoy playing board games and Spikeball, as well as watching movies with my family and friends.
What is your favorite local restaurant?
My favorite local restaurant is Freshly Greek.
What advice do you have for future interns at Everence?
I would encourage future Everence interns to ask lots of questions and explore as many of the various jobs around the organization as they can. Everyone has been super friendly and eager to help me learn all about the financial services industry. You never know what interesting jobs exist until you ask!
