What is your background? (Schools, hometown, major, hobbies, etc.)

My hometown is Goshen, Indiana, and has been almost my whole life. I attend Ivy Tech Community College, studying Business Administration. One of my hobbies is building computers and fixing them.

What is your role and where are you located?

I am an IT User Support Intern located at the Goshen office building on N. Main Street.

What is something you have learned in your internship?

One thing I have learned is communication skills between parties to help quickly diagnose problems to get them solved.

What has been your favorite project/task?

My favorite task so far was diagnosing a hardware and software issue leading us back to a security software Everence has deployed on the systems as the main contributing problem, taking a little over a week to work out.

How did you find Everence?

I found Everence through the ex-manager of the IT department, knowing him through a previous job of mine that ended up leading me to the IT field.

What is something you like to do on the weekends?

One thing I like to do on the weekends is go out to a restaurant after work on Friday and wind down after the work week.

What is your favorite local restaurant?

My favorite local restaurant that’s not so local is the Mishawaka Public House because they have good service and the food there is the best I’ve ever had.

What advice do you have for future interns at Everence?

Advice for the future interns of Everence would be to keep an open mind and immerse yourself into the culture, and for the IT interns, I would say to consider everything as a solution, starting from the basic troubleshooting steps up to the more intricate possible solutions.
