What is your background? (Schools, hometown, major, hobbies, etc.)
What is your role and where are you located?
I am the Marketing Intern at the Everence Federal Credit Union administration center in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
What is something you have learned in your internship?
I have learned a lot about project management and how important it is to work as a team. Working with marketing and graphic design, compliance, HR, and many other departments has taught me how important communication is when getting a project complete.
What has been your favorite project/task?
I really enjoyed helping to plan the Youth Savings Celebration and come up with the theme, activities, decorations, supplies, and promotional materials. It has been fun to see how people all over the country and in different careers all contribute to one project or goal.
How did you find Everence?
I am a member of the credit union, and I have a family member that works for Everence who told me about their internship program.
What is something you like to do on the weekends?
I like to go on day trips with my boyfriend and family, and find new places to try, like restaurants, parks, and shops. I also love spending time outdoors.
What is your favorite local restaurant?
I love going to Hefty Lefty’s for a casual lunch or Viet Thai for a nice dinner.
What advice do you have for future interns at Everence?
Take advantage of the opportunities available to interact with professionals and don’t be afraid to ask them questions. They will be more than happy to give you answers and talk with you.
