What is your role and where are you located?
I am the Human Resources Intern at the Goshen office on N. Main Street.
What is something you have learned in your internship?
I have learned many things over the summer, but one impactful lesson is the importance of developing strong communication and listening skills in HR and every job.
What has been your favorite project/task?
My favorite project has been working on my Capstone project and meeting with every HR staff member one-on-one. I have learned in much greater detail what each employee in the department does and how their roles differ, yet all contribute to the organizational goal.
How did you find Everence?
I had friends who interned here in the past and spoke very highly of the company, so I decided to apply.
What is something you like to do on the weekends?
I like going to Lake Michigan with friends and enjoying the good weather.
What is your favorite local restaurant?
My favorite local restaurant is Venturi because they serve 100% Italian pizza that tastes amazing.
What advice do you have for future interns at Everence?
Enjoy and learn as much as you can because the summer goes by very fast when you intern here.
