What is your background? (Schools, hometown, major, hobbies, etc.)

My hometown is Usulutan, El Salvador, though I currently live in Elkhart, Indiana. I went to Elkhart memorial High School, which is now Elkhart High school. In El Salvador, I went to a private school named “Colegio El Espiritu Santo”. I am currently attending Goshen College. I am doing a double major in Computer Science and Mathematics. My hobbies right now are listening to music, playing video games, and working out.

What is your role and where are you located?

I am an IT Support Specialist Intern at the N. Main Street office in Goshen.

What is something you have learned in your internship?

I have learned how to image the computers of Everence, which is setting up a machine so that an employee of Everence is using a device with the respective policies and tools.

What has been your favorite project/task?

My favorite task has been solving tickets. Tickets are a mystery; a ticket represents a technological problem in Everence. There can be numerous different problems to solve at Everence, so it never gets boring.

How did you find Everence?

I heard about Everence through my college.

What is something you like to do on the weekends?

I like to relax and play video games. If possible, I would go out somewhere.

What is your favorite local restaurant?

My favorite local restaurant is Miso Japan.

What advice do you have for future interns at Everence?

Ask questions and do not feel like the other employees see you in a negative way. Aim to establish a relationship with your co-workers so that days are better.
