Business member appreciates the friendly people at EFCU

To celebrate the 75th anniversary of International Credit Union Day, learn about one of our members and the impact that Everence Federal Credit Union has had on their business.

Dutch Country Transport is a business member located in Ephrata, Pennsylvania. Dutch Country Transport, owned by Virgil Nolt, is a freight broker that provides transport services. Working in tandem with Virgil’s other trucking company, Virgil Nolt Trucking, LLC, Virgil has earned a reputation of being reliable, on time and most of all safe.

Founded January 1, 2004, Dutch Country Transport helps transport mulch, bulk feed commodities, mushroom soil, and produce like string beans, green beans, sweet corn, spinach, onions, potatoes, and apples. Virgil loads around 50 trucks.

Vic Richard, former Everence Federal Credit Union Business Development Officer, helped him start his banking relationship with Everence (then Mennonite Financial). Since Vic retired, Virgil has continued to bank with Everence, largely in part to the “very handy and courteous service” that he receives.

Virgil has developed a relationship with our current Business Development Officer in Ephrata, Pennsylvania, Matt Smith. Virgil described Matt as his, “go to guy” and said Matt is always ready to help with whatever he may need. Virgil also noted that he loves the small-town feel and friendly people that he experiences at Everence Federal Credit Union.
